Mayors
of Pocatello and Chubbuck launch
$650,000 United Way campaign
Pocatello
Mayor Roger Chase and Chubbuck Mayor Steve
England joined forces the morning of October
1, 2009 to launch the United Way of
Southeastern Idaho's 55th annual community
giving campaign. This is the
organization's first-ever campaign to be
chaired by non-board members and, if the
energy at the breakfast kickoff event was
anything to judge by, the change is a hit!
For
information about investing in the United
Way of Southeastern Idaho 2009 community
giving campaign, call 232-1389. You
can also click on the "Give Now! button
above and make a donation with your credit
card. We hope you will be proud to
join the thousands of Southeast Idahoans who
care for their community through the United
Way.

United Way and United
Way Success By 6 mourn the loss of John Van Wart
On
September 21, 2009, our community lost a lovely man.
John Van Wart, husband of United Way Success By 6
Coordinator Esther Van Wart, was remembered at a
beautiful church service in which each of his eight
children shared memories of their father. We hope
you will join us in holding Esther and her family in
your thoughts and prayers. If you would like to
contribute to the John
Van Wart Memorial Account, you can send donations to
Wells Fargo (East Side Branch, 751 E. Clark, Pocatello,
Idaho 83201) Memorial Account of J.A. Van Wart, in care
of Jesse Van Wart.

Children are
Born Learning . . .
The
United Way Success By 6 Leadership Council, led by
tireless Chair Nick Arambarri, reminds the community
about the
availability of a multi-media campaign to help parents and
other child care providers learn how to help children
learn during everyday activities. If you click on
the picture in the navigational bar to the left, you can
learn more about this exciting effort.
